RAK Oil, formerly known as RAKNOC, is an energy trading and investment  company, based in Ras Al Khaimeh UAE. It is a 50% state owned company  by the Government of RAK,  through RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry but founded under the vision and leadership of HH Sheikh Saud of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Oil was created to alleviate challenges in trading and logistics across energy routes connecting Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. RAK Oil is committed to delivering comprehensive trading, logistics, and financial solutions for its global energy partners. With the support of infrastructure provided by our sister company, RAK Port, we offer essential infrastructure services that streamline operations and support our partners’ needs in the energy trading sector.

RAK Oil, established to be Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic trading arm, plays a key role in the global energy landscape and focuses on trading refined products, crude oil, LNG, petrochemicals, and polyolefins. To extend its reach and integration in the market, RAK Oil has expanded operations to essential trading hubs, including the UAE, Europe, and Singapore.
 

RAK Oil has pursued significant initiatives to strengthen its international presence:
    
    •    Building a European Base: To serve Europe, North Africa, and the Mediterranean, RAK Oil established RAK Oil Limited in Geneva, allowing it to form and nurture partnerships across these regions.
    •    Entering the LNG Market: RAK Oil is actively increasing its presence in LNG, forming joint ventures and global partnership with Concord Energy,  to secure long-term supply and strengthen its standing in this expanding market.

To strengthen its presence in the complex and high-potential Eurasian regions, RAK Oil has formed a strategic partnership with SOCAR, Azerbaijan’s national oil company. This alliance is designed to address the energy needs of the Caspian and Central Asian markets more effectively.

SOCAR, known for its collaborations in advancing energy solutions, recently entered into an agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to explore technologies in blue hydrogen, carbon management, and geothermal energy. By joining forces with SOCAR, RAK Oil can leverage SOCAR’s expertise and infrastructure, enhancing its operational capabilities and market access across Eurasia, in line with RAK Oil’s growth objectives for the region.
